Slip-on boots make it so much easier to put on quickly to run out with the dogs and are great for the barn too! Ada Thinsulate Winter Fleece Lined Chelsea Boot by SmartPak has a great grip and is a very nice leather. Oh, and an important plus is that they have a nice arch and memory foam insoles! They are not hard and flat like other brands. Give them a good try!
They are a heavy-duty construction without feeling cumbersome or heavy. I am very pleased with the level of comfort and performance during cold weather walks, light hikes, riding, and working in and around the barn. These were exactly what I was looking for. Easy on and off, no break-in period, stylish enough to go with anything, comfortable for all-day wear, and waterproof. They are my go-to boots!
This boot was perfect, right out of the box. It needed no breaking in, and the fit was immediately comfortable. I have often ordered boots a half size up to accommodate medium to thick socks in the colder months, but that wasn’t necessary here. These size 8 boots have a roomy toe box and yet hug my heels nicely.
For the quality, comfort, and price, can’t beat the Ada Thinsulate Winter Fleece Lined Chelsea Boot by SmartPak!

Just purchased these boots and am so happy with them! I’m always looking for warm AND comfortable boots to ride in. I run a barn in central Maine and we ride year long so good boots are a must. Already recommending these to my clients!

  3. Joan14850

I have Raynaud’s Disease that causes constricted blood vessels in my extremities. I have problems where my toes, balls of my feet, and heels will turn yellow and become extremely painful when it gets below about 35 degrees Fahrenheit. I have tried so many different styles of winter boots, and have even used heated socks and toe warmers. These are the warmest boots I’ve ever had.
I’ll wear my muck boots out to clean stalls and my toes will feel like blocks of wood in my shoes. I’ll finish chores, put these boots on and walk my dog. In a short time my toes regain feeling and my feet are toasty. This is truly amazing. If you’ve never experienced Raynaud’s Disease it’s hard to explain how hard it is to keep your feet warm and even harder to warm them up after they’ve turned yellow. These boots seem much too nice to become chore boots so I’m going to purchase another pair just for the barn.
Thank you for making such wonderful boots. Now I just need something similar for my hands.

I received this pair of Ada fleece lined boots about 10 days ago. I did not purchase them to be worn as barn boots but rather as an easy alternative when I need to shimmy out of my winter “river boots” and into other boots to run errands and to be able to easily drive and still be in and out of cold, icy/snowy conditions. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the materials and construction and found them to be a good value at a reasonable price. I was concerned about the fit as I always, in the European sizing, run between a size 37 or 38 depending on the brand, style and varyious linings. But I also planned on adding additional wool felt insoles. When I received the boots and first tried them on, they were indeed loose and sloppy feeling. But, I immediately added the wool inserts and, voila, the boots fit perfectly! I cannot speak to the durability because as I stated, these are meant for convenience and it will likely be many months before they are relegated to the line up of beat up chore boots. So my reccommendation is that if you are an exact (U.S.)size 7 in most brands and styles with a moderately wide foot, order the 37 if you want a traditional fit or if you want the added warmth of wool insoles, size up to a 38. But, I definitely reccommend this boot for its convenience, quality/value for the price!

Returned because back fabric finger tab for putting on ripped when I was trying them on and they replaced boots. Then after a week of wearing new ones same thing happened. Makes it hard to slip on or to put on from a standing position now. Keeping for walking dog at night to keep bare feet warm. My husband recycled box so not returning. Bad design. My summer one have a leather tab that has lasted years.

My shoe size is 11, i ordered the 42. Too small, pinched my toes. Otherwise a nice boot. Please expand the sizes offered.

  7. Frustrated

The pull tabs both tore on the first use with very little pressure. As a rider with chronic pain I rely on these to put my boots on.
Smartpak offered a return option, but I couldn’t find a box to ship in and I opted to have the repaired at my own expense (which was considerable) because the amount of waste associated with returning them for a replacement was disgusting. I used to associate SmartPak with making quality equipment/clothing, not throw-away fast fashion type items that fall apart. So frustrating!

  8. VickiD5511

It’s a super cute and styling boot, but there are some design flaws. The pull tabs are flimsy and ripped when I didn’t pull it straight up! The fleece is cozy, and the boot is holding up well against the regular wear and tear from everyday work. If the pull tabs were slightly ore durable, this shoe deserves a 5/5 stars! They’re comfy, warm in the winter, and adorable.

I’m in LOVE with these boots. Have kept me warm through my first winter in a snowy climate (albeit with extra warm socks when i was actually riding and trekking through snow). They’re comfortable for hours and hours of walking working and riding. The mesh panel does come down pretty far on the sides so isn’t necessarily ideal for deep snow, wet, or mud, but they’re very insulating and very cute! Nice sturdy sole that isn’t too clunky and fits easily into my english stirrups. They’re also easy to clean and give off a Blundstone-esque vibe, so I’ve definitely been wearing them in non-horsey contexts and getting compliments! (albeit after a quick wipe down to remove barn mud). They fit true to size and have a nice width so my toes don’t feel crunched. They fit well but can still accommodate a thicker sock.
4 stars only because (like other reviewers), the pull tab came off of the back of one with very little force. They’re fine to put on without so it’s nbd for me, but probably should be removed in future production if they aren’t going to make them functional.
