To be quite honest, I didn’t have a specific reason for buying this pad, but I am so glad I did! I’ve tried many half pads before, and I thought they did the job. I didn’t realize just how important half pads were for both rider and horse! I have had trouble with back pain when riding, and this pad fixed it like a dream! I had my eye on this pad for many years, but I could never justify the price tag. Recently I decided to go for it and I’m so glad I did and so is my horse! It really feels like I’m riding on a cloud it’s so soft and cushiony! But I don’t feel disconnected from my horse and his movements at all. He apparently loves it too! He really stretched down and was moving forward during our first ride with it (something he never does!)
He’s a high withered, senior TB and finding pads that give him enough wither clearance is next to impossible but the ogilvy baby pads and half pads have been our savior!
