After trying and returning several winter boots, I ended up keeping this one. I have slim legs and with the boots tightened all the way they fit well. I liked that the ankle is flexible immediately. Footbed isn’t super supportive so I’ll add my own since I’m standing giving lessons for hours. Semi warm. I also use the foot heater insoles which helped. I wear a 6-6.5 and I for the 37 which had room for a warmer sock.

I bought these tall boots for winter riding in New England. Even in temperatures in the upper teens and low twenties, these boots have kept my feet and calves warm, especially with a heavy sock. On really cold mornings, they are slim enough to fit under my lined jeans. I’m happy with the laces up the front, because I wanted to be able to adjust the boot and take it on and off with the laces so that I don’t put too much stress on the zipper. As other reviews have mentioned, the zipper seems a bit sketchy. One wrong zip might just do the boot in. It’s also nice that the foot portion of the boot is rubber, so they’re waterproof up to the top of your foot and go nicely through the mud.
The downside to these boots is that they have no ankle support. They are basically the same as riding in a rubber muck boot or a pair of low-top sneakers. On days with a lot of posting work, my ankles are burning. Although they are narrow and fit in the stirrups fine, I also have trouble keeping my heels down in these boots. The balance of them takes some getting used to.
For the price, they are worth it, especially if you only need them to get you through a few bitter stretches of cold.

Because I have skinny calves I end up swimming in most boots unless they offer a ‘slim’ calf size. With these I can adjust them to fit with the laces then just use the zipper in the back. I bought these for teaching in cold barns and muddy arenas and they also allow me to hop on and ride when needed. I have only worn them a few times so I cannot speak to their longevity but for now they fit and are toasty.

I’ve had these a few weeks and they are warmer but look very cheap and already show wear

I wore these all day at a schooling show with wool socks and my feet were toasty warm all day. These are now my new ‘barn boots” for the winter, no worries about wet feet from stepping in puddles trying to catch horses in muddy pastures. I love the adjustability of these boots. I have wide calves and am able to adjust these to fit just fine. The only ‘con’ I would say is that there isn’t much in the way of arch support. Still, my feet were not sore even after wearing these all day.

I’ve been wearing these boots everyday since I got them. They definitely keep my feet warmer than any of my other boats and I have quite the collection. I recommended to a friend and she has placed her order.

The boots are warm and comfortable. I am absolutely thrilled with them so far..I use them for barn chores.

I bought this boot as a last effort. I have tried many, but I am built small with small calf’s and I am short and thin. The boots were too tall and too wide even after I laced the boot up. I loved the look and quality, but no luck.
I have looked at some children’s boots, but my size was not available.
If there is any suggestions for a boot for me, please let me know. I am 15-16 for a tall boot, and 12 to 13 for the calf. HELP

Not only did I buy myself a pair but I love them so much that I bought my friend a pair and she lives on the other side of the country. Worth every penny.

I’ve been looking for a tall boot to wear in cold weather for a couple of years. The “slide on” boots never fit me correctly because the calves are always too tight, and I have a high instep from an old foot injury. These boots have some stretch panel next to the zipper, in addition to the lace-up feature so that I can control calf width. When I tried them on there didn’t see to be much ankle support, but I can live with that. I’m looking forward to wearing these this fall/winter, so can’t comment yet as to durability, but I think they’ll be great for snowy barn days.
